Tara Gray Continuing Education Bursary

Award Amount: $250

This bursary supports adult learners who have completed CVALA’s CAEC program and are continuing their education through a post-secondary program. The award recognizes the dedication and perseverance often required for adult learners returning to school.

Applicants must:

Be a New Brunswick resident over the age of 18

Have completed CVALA’s CAEC program within the last 12 months
-
Be accepted into a post-secondary program beginning within 6 months
-
Submit the application form, essay, and proof of acceptance

The bursary was created in honour of Tara Gray, former Executive Director of CVALA, whose dedication to adult education helped shape the organization and support countless learners over the years.
Fredericton Sunrise Rotary CAEC Bursary

Award Amount: $500
​
The Rotary Club of Fredericton Sunrise sponsors this bursary to support CVALA CAEC graduates continuing their education in a recognized New Brunswick post-secondary program.

Applicants are asked to submit:

A written statement about their educational goals, career plans, and how the CAEC helped them move forward

A testimonial from a CAEC instructor

Proof of enrolment or acceptance into a post-secondary program
CVALA CAEC Bursary
Deadline: October 30, 2026
Award Amount: $250

The CVALA CAEC Bursary supports adult learners who returned to school after leaving the public school system before completing Grade 12. Returning to school can come with added costs and responsibilities, and this bursary is intended to help a current CVALA learner continue working toward their education goals. One bursary of $250 will be awarded.

Who can apply?
Applicants must be currently enrolled in and attending a CVALA CAEC program, have left public school before completing Grade 12 without earning a diploma, and expect to continue attending CVALA CAEC classes after receiving the bursary.
