February 14, 2014
Did you know that February 14th isn't just Valentine's Day, it's also International Book Giving Day? The Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick got the ball rolling yesterday when they generously donated several books for our learners to enjoy.
Many people worldwide do not have access to books. On International Book Giving Day, we encourage everyone to give a book. Here are a few great ideas for spreading literacy and a love of reading:
1. Give a book to someone you care about, maybe one you've read and loved.
2. Leave a book anonymously in a waiting room for a reader to find.
3. Donate a book to your local library or school.
Are there any books in your home that you want to share with others? How will you celebrate International Book Giving Day?
