2014 Post-Plunge Breakdown
Fredericton’s First Polar Bear Plunge was a great success! On Sunday afternoon, 44 people leapt into Killarney Lake in support of adult literacy. Participants took the leap in pairs, with harnesses strapped to their torsos for safety. They vaulted into the water, where divers waited to help them back out. Nobody needed much convincing to climb back onto dry land!
After the frigid dip, our brave plungers were invited to a barbecue and prize ceremony.
